Kees van den Oetelaar buys half of Lord Fauntleroy. "To ensure a spread in our breeding!"

Lord Fauntleroy, currently ridden by Markus Brinkmann (GER), is clearing jumps at an impressive 1.55m level.  This talented stallion boasts not only a successful showjumping career but also a remarkable breeding record.  Over 10% of his offspring compete at a higher international level!

In an interview with nieuws.horse, rider Brinkmann describes Lord Fauntleroy as having a similar build and jumping style to stallions like Highway and Libero.  Brinkmann had his eye on Lord Fauntleroy for years, even spotting his potential as a young horse during the Hanoverian inspection.

Lord Fauntleroy's path to success has been impressive.  He earned premium stallion status in Hanover, excelled in performance testing at Verden, and then went on to breeding programs in Holstein and South Germany.  Brinkmann, particularly impressed by Lord Fauntleroy's young offspring, continued to follow the stallion's career.

To ensure Lord Fauntleroy's continued contribution to both sport and breeding, Brinkmann has secured partial ownership of the stallion through purchase. This strategy helps maintain a healthy balance between the stallion's athletic career and his valuable role as a sire.
